Holiday Art and Craft Village Supports Local Vendors

The Holland Project hosted their annual Rogue Art+Craft Village this weekend featuring their sellout Holland Edition Prints Sale in support of the local arts and independent craft vendors. The Holiday sale included donated works from several local artists to fund the non-profit’s mission for an all- ages art and music movement in Reno.

Participating artists of the annual print sale were told to come up with one design for this year’s Edition Print Sale. The event provided The Holland Project with several local art works available for community buyers to access affordable art with prices ranging from $10 to $50 and the offer for buyers to subscribe to the entire collection of handmade prints for $250.

Each print was done individually ranging in color and detail as well as a wide spread of mediums. Prints were available framed or unframed depending on the desire of the buyers. One of the prints was done by The University of Nevada, Reno’s professor Ahren Hertel who participates every year.

The fair totaled 23 vendors selling items including jewelry, photography, clothing, canned foods, and pottery.  Local coffee house The Hub handed out their dark brews to fuel Rogue’s holiday shoppers through The Holland Gallery market set up and make sure buyers could access every vendor’s table.

Both Rogue and the Holland Edition Print Sale successfully brought in over one hundred visitors leaving both Holland and the local vendors happy with the outcome and in high hopes for another big turnout next year.

The Holland Project continues to plan future events for the all-ages arts and music community in Reno and hopes to see the community come out and support events similar to Rogue. The Holland Project Gallery is located in Midtown on Vesta Street.
